With 3.42 I'd consider a 220-112. With 3.73 or 4.10 the 224-112 would be great.

I've got a very similar cam. (224 XE-R) in an M6. It is kind of iffy with the 3.42 gears. If you plan on eventually going to 3.73 or 4.10 gears, I would definately recommend the 224 cam.

If you don't ever plan on going with some different gears, I would go with what OBSSSD said and get something in the 220ish range.

Don't get me wrong though, it still has pretty decent street manners. I've been running mine for the past couple of months with nothing more than drilling the TB and tuning it a little bit with a MAFT. I think tuning would clear up alot of the other issues. I have driven through some stop and go traffic with the cam, it wasn't TOO bad.

With dyno tuning, I had zero problems with that cam. Without the tuning I would have warm start problems, couldnt start with the AC on, etc. I had 3.42's and it would bod slightly off the line, but nothing worth worrying over. Considering I had over 350 RWTQ from 2800 up, it was avery nice street cam in my opinion.
