Default Buying new f-body with nitrous cam, opinions please!!!

Hopefully if all goes well this weekend, I will be purchasing another 02 WS6 to replace my baby in the sig since she was run into and all messed up.

the car i'm looking at has alot of mods but right now, I'm wondering about the cam/nitrous part. It has an RPM6 cam (244/248 .612/.615 114lsa +4) and a nitro dave's plate kit with around 24* timing. Supporting mods are a built t-56, 4.10s, & 3" x-pipe.
I still havn't decided if I will keep the nitrous at the moment since this will be my daily driver and I can't afford to trash the engine and not have a car. The engine is stock except for the cam, pushrods, titanium retainers & locks, manley dual springs, tr8 spark plugs, and ls6 ported oil pump.
He told me the idle is pretty smooth and it doesn't surge or anything so i'm guessing it will be fine for DDing. My old car had a TR230 cam with a tp4400 converter and 3.23s and i drove it everyday with no complaints at all so I don't get bothered too easily.
But if I take off the nitrous, what can i do to max out the power with this cam? Should I put some ngk TR55 plugs in and have it retuned at HPE or G-force? I'm also considering maybe swapping out the cam for an HPE S or S2 cam because I want a lot of low end torque & i don't know if i want to run to 7k rpm. I run at the track maybe a few times in the summer and the rest is street driving. any advice?
thanks
-Chris

I may just fill out the form at Thunder Racing to have patrick spec out the perfect cam. The TR230 in my old car was great but it seems kinda small these days and I'm sure i could get more lowend torque out of a newer cam

if you don't want a 7k shift point and extremely soggy low end...change cams. and get rid of those manley springs, i have seen nothing but bad news from them.

get the "patrick g torque cam"...it appears to be fuggin sweet and spot on for your wants.

If you're staying cam-only, please do yourself a favor and yank that cam as soon as possible. The dynamic compression will be pathetic witha huge cam like that with that wide of an LSA. You should shoot for the best NA cam you can get and then spray on top of that. Unless you're running over a 200 shot, there is no need to go with a nitrous-biased cam.

Even the S cam is not going to be real strong at lower rpm as some of the other fine HPE cams. If you'd like me to spec you a custom cam, click the link in my signature and follow the instructions.
