I want to put a new double row timing chain on when I change my cam. My questions are will the double fit under the stock cover and how do I make sure the cam is timed with the crank; because marking the old one doesn't help(not using it)?

 

You line up the dots. Nobody marks their old one anyways since they are marked with dots from the factory.
