Default Problems installing springs

I got my cam in and now im working on the springs. I came across a problem trying to get them on and off. I have a couple of spring compressors but they work like ****. Anybody have any advice? And with the compressors i have, getting to the back ones will be almost impossible. Do i need that More tool from Thunder racing to get this done?

I Bought A Valve Spring Compressor Off E-bay From Seller Tpispeicalties For $55.00 + Shipping. Same Compressor You Can Buy For $100.00 + Other Places. I Was Very Satisfied. I Actually Just Used It And Finished My Head/cam Swap A Hour Ago And It Made Things Pretty Easy.

I used the one in the picture below, It worked greak, It had a big **** on it that could be removed to use a 5/8 wrench, a wrachet wrench worked wonders. Good luck!

I wouldn't use ANYTHING but the crane tool.....The thing just makes changing springs easy.

I used the Moore tool, and a plastic straw to find TDC.

Make sure you have a magnet tool to catch the locks. Some Loc tite or greese to hold the locks in place.

Start with passanger side...

Crane tool for sure. Like many things, it's easy with the right tools.

I'm in the middle of a spring swap right now... MS4 and PRC duals. I gave up with my shitty tool and bought the Crane. That thing is great. Trouble is I got halfway done and had one of the friggin' valve locks disappear. (see thread) Anyway, I highly recommend the Crane tool. I was using basically a homemade version of the Larry tool.

Thanks guys. I actually wrote this and then did some searching and found other people liked the Crane tool as well. I had the Crane tool overnighted the same day i wrote this thread. $99 for the tool and $140 total overnighted. It worked awesome. I dont think there is any other tool that i could have used that would have done a better job.
