surging and bucking with my MS3 is TERRIBLE!
tommy
p.s.-jeremy is the man so lets keep this civil gentleman

Yes lets not turn this into a tuner bash session. Jeremy has a good rep and its probably for a reason.
Tommy (ls2Bait)- I see what you are saying about the driver, but honestly, I drive the car perfectly...the fact that I have to feather the gas to maintain idle is not my idea of driver error...
Anyway...big cam = big tune....enough said
i jsut recently had my 228/232 on a 110+4 installed. keep in mind i am on the stock 3.42. Car had bad bucking, idle dip, no warm start and hesitation. My car was on the dyno for 7+ hours. I took the car back to my tuner 5 times. The tune makes all the difference in the world. Get you throttle cracker table in tact. Also get the g/cyl down then that way you can get the right VE!
But my car now, it only bucks between 1600-1800 RPMs. I have no idle dip or idle hang. The hesitation is a lot better. You will get hesitation under 2K RPMs with a big cam, you are not making, not until 3K+ RPMs. And the only thing that is wrong with my car is the warm start. My IAC will not reset at all.
So take the car back have them tune it for street manners.
Nice numbers, what is all done to your car?
I went with some PRC 5.3 stage 2.5 heads from TSP, the MS3, FAST 90 NW 90, EWP, UP, bolt ons, full exhaust, etcetc...a lot of stuff..
Car hauls major ***...just needs a bit more street tuning..i recommend this set up to anyone..just know you have to get a thorough tune!
ANYWAY..I happened to drive the car today to work, and it was hotter than a bitch, so I flipped on the A/C...
As I drove around I noticed that all of my idle fluctuation problems (idle rising and dipping from 300 rpm to 1500 rpm dissapeared...the car ran more or less FINE...WTF is going on...I thought that turning the A/C on would have made things worse...but it seems to catch the revs when they are coming down rapidly, then it steadys at like 900 rpm....anyone have any idea why the A/C being on would affect it in a positive way?
BTW, I ran a counter test and drove immediately after with the AC off, revs rise randomly and then the idle fluctuation problem came back...WTF!
Yep, what he said
Changing the idle correction time to about 2 sec's stopped the surging as well.
I did an RAFIG (Idle speed air correction) process which helped bring my desired aiflow tables where they should be then added 1 g/sec.
Then the Throttle Cracker Activate speed I changed to 15mph and Deactivate @ 13mph which keeps the idle from hanging up when coming to a stop.
Thanks to SSpdmon for that help!

BTW, when i turned mine on, b/c i was getting the car washed. After driving off, coming to a stop i had idle hang like whoa
That is ok, b/c i never really use the a/c... try to get it scanned before you head over on thursday, could save you some headach.
i even run that **** when the windows are down
try to get it scanned before you head over on thursday, could save you some headach.
