Default Valve 'Keeper' Question

I have a question about the valve 'keepers' or 'collets' or whatever you want to call them. The two things that go around the valve and inside the retainer. Are the LS1/LS6 keepers the same as those used on a stock 350/327/283 small block Chevy?

It's an 11/32" keeper if that helps. I don't believe they are the same. When we were looking for some keepers they had both and gave us the 11/32 size keeper. Best place, call a good dealership parts department and they can tell you what the deal is as well.

They are totally different. The taper and how big they are. I changed the springs and retainers on mine and dropped a few down on the ground and couldn't find them. used the older v8 style keeper to hold the valve up. Had to order new from gm.
