I put in a ported oil pump when I swapped my cam and installed a dual roller timing set. WTH, I was in there.

MY CAR HAS 30K ON IT AND I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF A SOTCK OIL PUMP DYING WITH THIS MANY MILES ON IT. I ONLY HEAR OF THEM DYING ON CARS AROULD 5K
SO MY QUESTION IS IS IT NESSESSARY TO REMOVE OIL PUMP IN ORDER TO INSTALL A NEW TIMING CHAIN
AND WOULD U PUT A NEW OIL PUMP ON IT IF IT WERE YOU CAR.

Yes, you must remove the oil pump to get to the timing chain. And if it were my car, yes, I would replace the oil pump. But that's just me. There's obviously no need to since your's is fine. It's your call and your $$$.
