Default Should I ditch my single pattern?

I have a brand new single pattern cam (226). I think it would be a good cam for me. But. Would a 227/224 give me a noticable gain over my 226/226? I don't care about dyno numbers, and I mostly race from a roll. Would it be worth the trouble to sell my cam and order the TR? Or stick with what I have? I will run it on stock heads for awhile, but will have stage 2 heads in the near future.

Differences are negligible.

I think 226/226/112 kicks *** but I do appreciate the some of the ideas behind reverse split camshafts.

Yeah, my 226 is on a 114 (A4), and I think it would be a good street cam. But a few people, including a head porter, insisted that I ditch it. And everyone here seems so hyped up on the reverse splits. But, if a 227/224 won't be a difference, I'll keep what I have.

Well it's your car, so go with what will make you happy.

The 227/224 cams are are on a 112 right? More lopey too.

Z06Cam is running it on a 114. He's making great power with stock LS6 heads. That's kinda what got my interest. But the couple of guys I've seen running my 226 are making good power as well. About the same as Z06 Cam, but with stage 2 heads.

I currently run a 226 with 556lift on a 112 single pattern that was installed on my ARE stage II H/C car. With an A-4 it gave me a best of a 10.992 @ 123 at a 3350 race weight on a cold day.
I am however changing it because I know there is more in it. (I hope) <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Woah, that's a damn quick car. FWIW, mine has .570 lift. I think I'll probably stick with that. There's only so much power you can hook up with on the street, and I already break the tires loose (slightly) from a 30 punch on my bolt on car. With my 226, heads and some dr's I should be happy.

I think you should keep the 226 cam. Like John said.. You might not see any change.. I personally think the 226 cam is one of the best all around cams.. Street/Strip..
