Cam for 2400# LS1 / M6
Cam for 2400# LS1 / M6 I am looking for a good cam for a stock headed LS1 that will be in a 2400# M6 car. The car has a pretty short wheelbase and has 255 40 17 rear tires and 3.73 LSD.
I am thinking something that will move the powerband up in the RPM range a bit. I will eventually be going with an alum flywheel.
The car will be used on the street and for road racing.

Re: Cam for 2400# LS1 / M6 Derek, I'm intrested too. The car I'm putting my LS1 into weighs about 2250#. Tires are 275 50 16. I have planned on using a Thunder 222 to 224 on 112 with 1 5/8" X 34" headers with a 2 3/4" X 10" collector. Should keep the torque up. I also thought about 17" tires, but I wonder about the traction.
