Default Cylinder head wizards inside please...

Decided to do my own LS6 cylinder heads this time and so far, here's where I am at...

Intake - 223 cc

1) Removed stud protrusion and smoothly blended the runner wall the bowl area
2) Blended and radiussed valve the guide boss
3) Radiussed and swirl vane
4) Gently rolled the short turn radius to the floor
5) Blended the bowl evenly to runners
6) Blended the casting lines and evened up the walls

Exhaust 82 cc

1) Blended the bowl evenly to runners
2) Gently rolled the short turn radius to the floor
3) Blended and radiussed valve the guide boss
4) Blended the casting lines and evened up the walls

Help/Questions

Runners

All tips appreciated - my main question is...
....How much more volume, if any, should I consider - and if more, where do I remove the material

Combustion Chambers

I haven't touched these yet but I will bolting these on a 4.100 bore

Help & Questions

- Besides blending, what tips can I get on the intake valve wall - especially as it approached the cylinder?

You should consider bench testing your work before carrying on. I have 221cc port at this time that flows 300cfm at .550" with stock valve. Flow climbs as high as 317cfm with different valves at .600" but i am still working out this aspect of port work. Exhaust looks like it should be killer on flow, but i havent reached LS1 exhaust flow yet with my LS6 exh. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Thanks, I will be flow testing in another week..

Any hints on the combustion chamber unshrouding..

Also, what does everyone do about the bolt that protrudes into the intake runner? Is a shorter bolt used or the longer units ground down?

I would set head on block to be used and scribe bore size on head, than determine amount your able to relieve around valves. As far as rocker bolt i would seal it with teflon pipe thread sealer and dont worry about protrusion in to port, its very minimal. Let me know your flow results.
