GM hot cam a good choice for a A4?

Re: GM hot cam a good choice for a A4? From what I have read, there are many many better choices for an [A4 daily driver] than the Hot Cam. The LSA of the Hot Cam is not real compatable to an [A4] car without PCM programing.

It seems every day we get alot of the same questions > "Will the Hot Cam idle ok in my A4 car" .. "Is the Hot Cam a better choice than the TR224" .. "How much power will the Hot Cam make" .. "Tell me your Hot Cam dyno numbers" .. "Anyone have surging problems with the Hot Cam" .. "Will the Hot Cam work with my stock heads" .. etc, etc, ect
These questions get answered over and over, because very few people use the search function. The answers are all in there many many times over and over.
In your A4 car, I would suggest a TR220. It can be ordered from Thunder Racing. They are a sponsor of LS1Tech. You can also get all the info you would ever want to read about the TR220 by using the Search function.

The best thing about the HOT cam is the price. For A4s its going to take some tweaking or a full blown computer tune to get it to have good manners.
It's probably a pretty good nitrous grind for an M6 but there are a lot better choices out there if you just spend a little bit more.
