Default Melling oil pump?

Are ported oil pumps or the melling oil pump worth it or not? Car has 65k on it and doing a cam swap in the near future and not sure if I should swap the pump or not?

if your in there it is just a 120 bucks for piece of mind I would do it for sure, I swapped mine out at 22000 and when I put in a bigger cam I will swap it again, really 120 bucks is not much for a good oil pressure to feed the new mods.

Yes.I talked to some high end engine builders when i was building my engine and they leaned towards the factory pump, out of the box, it's a great pump, more than most will need.Porting is a preferance, though kinda nice to have the internals slicked up.
