can a bad front O2 cause cylinder misfire? URGENT
Hope you guys can help I need to fix it tonight?
2001 camaro z28 m6 106,xxx miles.
mods all bolt ons and a cam/valvtrain (springs, pushrods).
exhaust hooker lts and ory. Ive had this exhaust set up for over a year and never a problem, till now.
spark plugs are new and installed with CARE (ngk tr55)
wire are about 1 year old, taylor thundervolts
I just finished my cam install and just got the car back from be tuned. A day later it started throwing codes.
p0300 multiple random misfire
p1133 insufficient swicthing bank 1 sensor 1 (drivers side front o2 sensor)
p1153 o2 sensor circuit range/performance high
here is my question, can the front drivers side O2 sensor cause the car to misfire. I read on a odbII website that it can. Has anyone had this problem before and how does an o2 sensor cause misfire? Do to my mileage, is 100,00 0 when o2 start to fail?
also if it is a bad front o2 can I just use one of my rear o2 as a replacement. its not like i have cats anymore.. LOL

mine had a missfire/backfire/detonation/pow before I changed it. Get one and put it in. Bosch 13111 is what I got and they work great cause I don't even have to have extensions too.

I'd say the P0300 misfire codes are related to your cam install, since you didnt mention running a CPK relearn.
The o2 sensor codes are straight forward, bad sensors!
I never bother with swapping them, I always buy new.
I've removed and plugged my rear 02's, codes deleted,
on the front i run Bosch #13111.

One time I got water in the connection between the O2 and the extension, and it caused the car to run terrible and get the random misfires etc. Get the Bosch as mentioned before and as a bonus you wont need the extensions.
