comp lifter problems
well just installed a MS4 with brand new comp lifters purchased everything from TSP. about a month ago and less that 500 miles ago and now i have a calapsed lifter and a bunch of metal in the oil started as a slight tick and the next time i started it it was more of a nock and didnt get any better as we pulled it on the trailer. and this was street driving breaking in the 9" anyone else had the same problems? and is there anything i can do about the lifters failing and eating the short block and the cam?

did you soak them in oil for awhile before installing them? I'd pull the heads off asap and take a look, I'd hate for you to wipe a lobe on that cam and have to go through all that again.

yeah i already started pulling the motor. it was just real hard since we just installed it and there was that much metal in it. kinda fealt like a hard kick to the pants. i was hoping to not be pulling it for a while thats why i installed everything new. and yes the soaked for well over a half a day.

Mine are going to be soaking for about 2 weeks until I'm ready to put them in.

you will be in good company if so.. alot of us have this wonderful sound with no issues..
but none of us have metal in the oil.. so my best guess is a spun bearing.
sorry man!
