i have 2000 ls1 firebird,how long does it take to install this cam,vavle springs,
retainers,pushrods,do you have to remove the intake manifold,is there a how to install camshaft? thanks the car has lt's,ory,magnaflow exhaust,lid, tuned,
best time 12.76 at 110.76 street tires 1.94 60ft.

I did mine over the weekend a few yaers back. You can leave the intake on but I would junk the ls1 intake for a ls6 while you're at it. Crane cams valve spring compressor- get one.

Just did it today. Same cam. 9 hours start to finish on a lift with air tools. That includes swapping the valve springs, and replacing the timing chain. If you are doing it at home with hand tools and no lift, an entire weekend sounds about right.
