Default Poll time- which cam would YOU choose?

Ok here goes...
As some you may or may not have read, the MS3 is a bit much for me...I want some more power UNDER the curve...so I am narrowing down some of my new cam choices...Remeber, I have FULL (even EWP and UP) bolt ons, a FAST 90 and NW 90 on top of some PRC 5.3 stage 2.5 heads and TD's with LT's.

My reason for wanting to change is the driveability of the larger cam down low...and the torque it made...I'd rather give up some peak numbers and have more torque across the board (yes yes I know I know, ya'll told me so...shut up )

The car sees a little track and is NOT my DD...sees maybe 100 miles a week AT MOST...

I am planning on adding a 100 shot as well come x mas time, keep that in mind...

Thanks

Go with a custom cheater cam. I know Jeremy had one made up for a customer, and used a .641 lift-combination I think of lsk, and xer lobes. The thing sounded like stock but made soem killer power 400+rwhp. I say this cam as it would work good with the heads and work very well with the spray.

Keep in mind "driveability" (overlap) is affected by more than just LSA. Duration is a large player in it too.

yes I see....lets say I go with a 228 232 hypothetically....what would the difference in driveability from the 114 to the 112 be?? negligible or noticable?

Thanks fellas

Driveability is in the tune. I run a 232/238 and it almost drives like stock....I'm ironing out the almost this weekend.

BTW - I voted for the 224/228 assuming .581/.588 on a 112, not 114.

wouldn't call it an obsession but more of a goal as in: smoother idle, less chop, tad quieter at idle

So am I. I would have sent him on a vacation after the second incident. Fourth warning...they are showing restraint.

I would install steaper gears and keep the MS3.

I voted 228/232

lol you got that right hahah....4 time offender, wow...

I like the MS3's power, I really do....but plans for the car changed....life has changed a bit, my driving habits have changed....and I need a power band that will accomodate those changes...I already have 4.10 gears in my 10 bolt, I do not want to go any steeper...

I actually have been reading up on the 228/232 110+2 cam...sounds like a bad *** street cam

Too run nitrous with the most possibly efficiency and keep a vehicle streetable in terms of drivability, manners, etc may incur some compromises. May, I don't know. I'm not too familiar with how nitrous effects cams. Ask Patrick G I say as well. $25 for a custom cam reccommendation, and he is a very nice dude to deal with.
