Default Solid Or Hydraulic Cam??????

I'm Building A 454 Lsx And I'm Caught Up On Which Cam Setup To Go With. So I Thought Some Of You Guys Would Have Some Insight. A Basic Overview Of My Motor Is A 454 Cube With Et Heads(c5r 240) With Custom Sheet Metal Intake. Just Don't Have Enough Input To Decide On A Solid Roller Or A Hydraulic Roller. What Are The Pros And Cons, How Much More Horsepower Is A Solid Roller Worth? Basically It Will Cost Me Another $2500 To Go To A Solid Roller. What Do Any Of You Guys Think? Thanks, Kenny.

i'm not to familar with the cost to convert over to a solid roller but if it is indeed 2500 bucks i'd stick with a hydraulic. i'd guess a solid is good for 20-25 hp over a hydraulic of similar size but as always there is variables also. just my &.02
maybe someone more familiar with an lsx sr setup will chime in.

There are adjustments with solid rollers.

Stick with the hydraulic. Less to worry about.
