dont run leaded fuel...it will ruin the o2 sensor and can cause other problems with your engine.

airplane fuel is mixed differently than fuel for street cars, the air up there is super cold and not as plentiful, if anything you may run crappier!

AV gas is 100 LL low lead. it has some lead in it but no where near the amount of lead in the 60's. its supposedly not good for O2's.

I think it would be relatively safe, but from what i understand it would provide no performance advantage and infact would hinder performance. From my understanding, avgas is formulated differently and as a consequence has a much slower burn rate. This topic was covered in detail quite a few years ago in one of the performance mags, but in all honesty i do not remember a whole lot about what they discovered .

I don't know about o2 sensors, but I used it exclusively in my boat; 25' Eliminator Daytona with a whipple charged 509. 8.8:1 compression / 8.5psi boost. After 200hrs of use, I pulled the engine apart and it was perfect. AV gas is the most regulated fuel available per the FAA for minimum octane (100), consistancy and clarity.
