Default I think it is time to sell my SS Camaro 300 gas bill.

I got a 300.00 gas bill from driving 24 miles a day for a month. I just got the car a year ago but gas here is now 3.27 a gallon. I fear if I don't sell my car soon that I will get stuck with it. I love my Camaro.. I bought it on the forums here a year ago and the car has been great...

ok, 24 miles a day for 30 days is 720 miles. you claim you spent 300 on gas, for easy math we'll say 3.00/gal. thats 100 gallons of gas.

thats gives you 7.2 mpg. I'm calling BS!!! LS1's get pretty damn good gas mileage. you should get upper 20's on the highway and low 20's in town. if you get 25mpg average you'd only be spending about $100 per month on 30 gallons of gas.

Idk about averaging 25... maybe on M6.. but i average about 19 (A4).. and thats nearly all highway/country roads. I don't DD my car.. but if gas gets out of hand, which for me would be prob. 3.60 or more i will be selling the TA and buying a crotch rocket, really cant beat 30mpg plus a 10 second ride.

well I don't know about where your at but diesel for the TDI is more expensive down here than regular gas.

300 a month on gas- how many miles are you driving? or is a grimlin getting in the car while you are asleep and driving it so you think you are getting bad gas mileage.

Glad I am retired and don't have to drive.

My V gets about 10 in the city, less then 8 if I romp on it, 18+ on the freeway.

You think $3.60 is high?

You are gonna look back with fondness at those prices.

Over $4.00 by the end of the year and God help you if you have to use heating oil and winter is bad.

Glad I live in southern Calif.

I do have a 4cyl car to drive on the weekdays but its funny it gets bad mpg for a 4cly. 21/26 lol, thats really bad for how slow it is. What I am I don't want to happen is that I get stuck with my Camaro by sitting around and waiting for gas prices to go up.

I always look at it like this. Do I want to give up or drive my car less because of high gas prices? Now at $3.89 a gallon.

OR, can I give up eating out a handful of times a month? Or how about one less night at the bar? Any number of simple choice like that will easily account for the extra $1 a gallon(multiplied over X fillups per month) we're paying compared to a couple of years ago.

Easy choice in my book.

It would be an easy choice if you could say gas prices will settle at 3.00 a gallon but that is not the case at all. It will keep going up until I have a car I can't drive at all.

I just can't stand to have a car sit in the garage 90% of the time. Whats the point in that. I get most of the enjoyment out of driving my car. I do have a beater to drive but I don't enjoy driving somethat that looks like crap and that I am not proud to own. So that why I drove my Camaro everyday and in turn it was 300 bucks in gas. Thats insane you do see that right?

Quick Reply: I think it is time to sell my SS Camaro 300 gas bill.
