ls6 springs, new pushrods?
Hey, quick question for you guys. I think my stock valve springs have given up the ghost so I am going to swap in a set of LS6 springs. It's an otherwise stock engine with a turbo system. I'm pressed for time a bit as I'm going to be doing a road race/drag race/auto X event running Thursday - Saturday. After that, it's getting a built forged motor some months later. Basically the spring swap is to get her running clean for this week's race. After that, I'm not terribly concerned.
My question is with 80k or so miles and everything else stock, does it make sense to keep the car down an extra day and loose a day of prep to wait for pushrods to be delivered or do you think the stockers will be fine assuming they look fine upon removal? On the road course, shifting will be ~5500.
