Going back to Street Setup on the Z
This year 06/07 (season), I was able to achieve the overall Championship in our Super Street division.
Out of 8 Championship shootouts, I've won 4 first place, 2 third spot and one no show. Still 1 race to go next week but I'm on top in points and cannot be defeated for the year.
However financialy this is taking a toll and with no sponsor, it is time to retire.
This was a good year.
So it is time to de-mod the Z back to street form.
I'm gonna put a set of Patriot LQ9 heads with 2.02/1.57 valves, ported with 227cc runners and milled to 67cc chambers (5cc mill)
The PRC 5.3L (58cc) are comming off.
On the cam area it will have my own XE grind of 210/224 .550/.568 115+1 LSA (the TSP torquer V2 on 113 is comming out)
This will give me a ~ 10.7:1 SCR with a 8.53 DCR
This is a 370cid BTW
Rest of the setup will remain the same except for the addition of cats and the swap back to 3.23:1 rear (3.73 comming out)
The Z will also get a fresh new coat in Lexus Pearl White, with Corbeau seats and fresh carpet, as well as freshened Yokohama rubber and Millia Miglia light alloys.
I'm looking forward to enjoy the car in a more civilized way, the Nitro Dave plate kit is staying of course, in case someone gets too cocky
I'm kinda curious how much power I can get out of this cam in a 370
In my old C5, I got 362rwhp cam only with just Haltech/ported TB/x dual/ and tuning
I wonder if I can break 400rwhp, maybe 400/400 ??
We shall see I'll post results when done.
I want it completely stealth, shift 6300 max, loads of trq down low and midrange.
Like i said I allready had this cam in the previous C5 and it did very well.
I might run a set of SLP 1.85 with it for .600/.612 lifts, I think that would even bring out more undercurve power.
Believe it or not, De-modding a car can be as costly and i'm trying to keep cost down to be able to spend a few more $$ on enhancing its looks.
Fresh paint, carpet, Corbeau seats, and a killer sound system for my Metallica moods.
maybe i'll even turn the car into a SS clone since there are none available or ever sold here (unless they imported it).

De-modding can often be as much fun and rewarding as modding. Changing our setups is just one way to stay in love with our cars over the long run. Glad you're keeping your car.
