Is my car timed right?

Is my car timed right? I am very concerned about getting my timing right, so that I won't damage the motor when starting. I am very sure I lined the dots up right. I used a rollmaster double and keyed the crank on its dot, and then timed the motor with the timing dot to cam gear dot. When the dots were lined up, I could see the #1 piston at the top of the cylinder. My question is that that it is harder to turn the motor over at certain points. The values I could figure out were:
peak torque: 68 lb/ft
lowest torque: 56 lb/ft
When I would turn over the motor 720 degrees, it would spin about 360 degrees over 65 lb/ft and the 360 degrees at under 65 lb/ft.
Does this sound right?? I just want to make triple sure I get this thing timed right.
