Stealth? What is this, some Inspector Gadget episode? It's a hot rod, V8 American muscle car. Make it act like one.

Electric cutout/cutouts will make it as loud and mean sounding as you want it to..you can pick and choose when you want to be quiet or loud..you have the best of both worlds..I hid the cutout switch in the ashtray and I like the option of being loud or quiet...keeps Johnny Law off your *** too...

You buy a sedan if you want to go "stealth". Buy a muscle car if you want loud. I'm kinda lost in this choice....

Buy a C6 ZO6 and then make it stealth...

The C6 Z06 comes from the factory in a stealth mode..the cat back has a flap on each muffler that opens at 3500 RPM to give a louder and more free flowing efficient exhaust ...

If you pull the exhaust module fuse the flap stays open all the time.

I like a nice stealthy look with a decent sound at idle, that way people think youve at least done something and are fair game, But then i want that thing to roar at wot.

Thats why when i get people to roll race, i put it in 5th and goose it. They know i wanna race but they dont think i stand a chance, then drop that bitch into 3rd and take off

Theres definitely something fun about toying with people, watching them get all cocky and thinking theyre gonna win, Then you just blow them away, i love it.

If youre gonna be loud you better be able to back it up. Raced a stang the other day, loud as crap with big cowl hood, hood pins, etc. And then i smoked the thing

A quote from a good friend of mine, "when you own a vette people expect you to bring it when you own a Z06 people expect you to f@c*in bring it"

so I say when you car looks mean as hell and sounds that way people expext a certain level of performance, I like to hit people like they never saw it coming

A lot more people are going to try to race you in a stealthy car than will want to race you if they are sure they will get spanked before they reach the other side of the intersection. I'm currently building a set-up in my 94 Z28 that will surprise anyone (It's got a LS1 conversion).

Mac mids w/ORY
Borla w/electric cutout
ported heads
MTI stealth II cam
Vortech 5psi w/no intercooler (got it cheap)

I figure this will idle and sound fairly stock and probably make 450+ RWHP. I feel it better to totally obliterate someone who drastically underestimated your car than to run as they expected you would run.

I also have to drive the car as a DD and the noise and big cam are anoying to more than just me.

You might want to change your cam choice if you do not have it allready.
The Stealth 1 (220/220 115) is a better choice or a 224/228 116

reverse splits are for Turbos not Superchargers

Loud and mean as hell. If you want stealth save up for a lexus. Come on man it has an American V8 and is meant to sound like one.

I've got nothing against loud and mean, but it sounds like some of you guys have a complex, like you've gotta prove something. Stealth rocks when you're showing the guy your taillights... I don't introduce myself by walking up to people and yelling, I speak softly and carry a big stick...so does my car.
