Default 243 intake port, valve seat overhang

I just got some new 243 castings, and I noticed that the intake valve seat insert overhangs into the port by almost a millimeter. It only overhangs on the long side of the port. It's really easy to feel and snag your fingernail on.

Is this normal? How do you guys handle this during porting? or do you just leave it alone?

Default

Its normal, not all have misalignment but some do. If your not going to fully port them just blend it into the port.
