WTF, not even close dude. Just got my 225's for $2300. And they flow 340cfm on the intake, and 269 on the exhust. Also, ur not stuck with a junk factory casting. It'll ruin ur day if they ported ur heads too close to a water jacket, and it trashes ur motor. I've been there before with my last set of heads.

doesnt cnc porting eliminate the chance of porting to close to a water jacket?

nope, mine were CNC'd, still broke through. Heads were no longer under warrenty, so i was **** outta luck. Some companys really push the limits just to get big flow #'s. Then the customer ends up paying for it.

I just installed my AFR 205s and so far I really like them. I will update after I have been through a tank of gas with them and get them tuned.

Just a FYI, we have never had a water jacket problem with our heads... You dont need to just hog out a head to get air flow, when you do it right you dont have those kinds of problems.

I'll bet I know what "speed shop" did that. Was it a very popular one that has a big name on message boards but no name in actual racing?

"Best head for my setup?"... I think I'd get some good head for my setup... but best heads for my setup? hmmm...

AFR205 heads and G5X3 cam... one of the better combos, a bit pricey but you gotto pay to play. my 2 cents.

No. Not having core shift eliminates this.

This wouldn't even be a problem unless you're dealing with a runner that's been heavily ported and quite large.
