I have run nothing but Castrol GTX 10w30 since buyin the car. So for about 33k miles now without a issue. I run it year round. I have not sent in a sample to a lab, but think I'm gonna give it a try. I'd be interested to hear about this oil. Seein as how no one else in this thread has mentioned using it yet.

I thouht about RP, but as other have stated it's just not what it used to be. Now I say this from reading of others personal experiences & tests, not my own.

I have not personally performed this test so I can't comment on the validity of RP's claims; however, it is worth stating that horsepower is not everything concerning lubricants. The oil is there to minimize wear and control temperature. If the oil does't have good antiwear characteristics than I would not welcome the extra HP for the increased wear.

RP does excel at controling oil temps because of it's thin viscosity and high shear characteristic.
