water neck is a meziere #wn0019x (replace x with color U for polished, S for black) cost was around $119.00....

Again, I'll wait until tuning to see what will be optimal. I agree, it'll be higher than 7200. Sheet metal intake aside, I'd still do a solid roller with a much more conservative set up.

408 or larger? I was reading your sig and noticed it said 421 and I know eagle makes a 4.125 stroke crank.

What do you think of using a solid roller setup with a large stroke engine like a 421?

Sounds good. I'm wanting to build a 421 also, but I haven't seen anyone that runs a solid roller in one. I was just wondering how it would like the 7K+ revs with such a large stroke and a big solid cam.
