GM Racing cnc LS6 head oddities
I just receive a set of GM Racing CNC LS6 heads, part #88958622. While they do have the lightweight hollow stem valves and the sodium-potassium filled exhaust valves, the valves are the standard LS1 valve length. Aren't the 2002 LS6 valves supposed to be 6mm, or .236", longer than an LS1 valve? Also, the valve springs are not yellow like a standard 2002 LS6 spring but rather have a green anodized finish. The spec card showed the max lift to be .570". Are these the standard spring colored differently or an entirely different spring? FWIW, the cnc job is pretty rough. At a minimum you could not run these heads without cleaning up the combustion chamber, especially around the treads of the sparkplug hole as they are very sharp and jagged

I bought them from Scoggin-Dickey http://www.sdpc2000.com/default.htm $1970 per pair plus shipping. Also, there is no core charge. You get to keep your heads.
