LPE LS6 heads, or PRC 5.3 stage 2.5's?
#2
LPE heads are "kind of" designed for their cam, which has a decent split in lift and duration (i.e., GT11 cam is .631/.644 and 215/239 on a 118 lobe, and their GT1-1 is .631/.631 and 229/242 on a 114 lobe). I would honestly call LPE and tell them vehicle and engine info, and ask which cam they would recommend with their cnc ported LS6 heads. Do the same with TSP regarding the PRC heads. THe quality is good on both, but what about springs? Do they both have good enough springs for the cam you have?

Thanks for your input, I will call them tomorrow. The GT1-1 looks interesting, I wonder what kind of power it makes and how it will sound.

have any flow numbers? the 5.3's flow good not sure whats been done to the lpe's. They do good work but if it hasnt been ported to the extent of the 5.3's then it might not flow as good. You've got 383 cu in, needs more air than a 346 so I'd opt for the better/most flowing head. Then make a decision on the cam based on the head and needs. the 383 should have plenty of torque no matter how big a cam you throw in there(for the most part)
