Default Will it fit?

guess this is the right place to post it. My buddy has a 01 Z06 and is going H/C/I so he will have the LS6 heads, LS6 cam, LS6 intake and whatever TB comes on those for sale. A buddy of his has an LT1 and wants to know if he could use those parts on his LT1. I mean obviously he couldnt just swap out the intake or anything by itself b/c head ports etc. wouldnt match up blah blah. But they were basically thinking, if its the same sort of 346 cid block, then maybe it will work if they are doing the whole top end??? (heads, cam, intake, TB)

I told them i didnt think so, and if they could get it to fit it would be a PITA, but i figured i better get a confirmation

yeah...that's why they called the LT1 the Gen II block and the LSx the GenIII block.

it would probably be easier to put the heads from a Ford 4.6L onto your LT1....exaggerating of course

The exhaust manifold would be different. LT1's have the two inner ports almost touching, where the LS style are evenly spaced. Just one thing I noticed from an external point of view.
