Default need some help .....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-DYGof_h_Bk --- video of what it is doing

i have a guy coming over this weekend to install a close performance tune found on the hpt's depository.

figuring the computer is stock i was thinking it is having VATS issues, but i dont know

you can hear it trying to run then nothing..... even if you just hold the starter it will keep cranking with nothing after that initial fire.

think it doesnt have enough fuel? i have the fuel pump hooked right to the nelson harness relay that came with the harness

here is a picture of my fuel pump setup, now that i rethink how things -should- be.... it might not be flowing correctly to the pump or perhaps flowing too much back to the tank?

codes i am reading
P0107 map low voltage ..... (connected)
P0452 evap low imput (not connected)

here is a vid of what it is doing

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-DYGof_h_Bk

after a few spins of the crank like that i touched the headers and all of them were getting just a bit over air temp.... seemes like they are all firing.

the bend was a little tight with stainless braided so i looped it .... might just run some black fuel pressure line to a 45*?? but i dont think that would make it not start .......

Hook a fuel pressure gauge to the rail and ensure you get 58psi during cranking and that brief time it runs.

sounds good didnt know i need that much think that pump would work fine for what i have?

msd - 2225 inline .......

thinking i might have to get a seperate relay that stays steady while the key is on ..... instead of the gm style since it isnt a gm pump.

The specs on MSDs site look like that pump can make 58psi...I'm guessing your fuel pressure regulator just needs adjusted to get you that pressure at the fuel rail.

Using the GM relay shouldn't be a problem, assuming it's wired correctly and powering the pump when the PCM tells it to. I'm thinking the PCM feeds the relay the 12VDC pull voltage, instead of using ground drivers like the fan pins...memory's a bit vague.

nelson has all of that wiring done so i have my money on it being correct, i just hooked up their idiot proof 4 wire hook-up harness and here is where im at.

the truck regulator could be broken or failing .....

or my luck is that that isnt even the regulator? ......

this is it correct? figured it was vacuum controlled if it isnt then i need to get me a hold of one ......

Whip out your fuel pressure guage and test as described above.

Good deal, fuel pressure is ruled out as the cause.

Next, verify the injectors are being pulsed during cranking. PepBoys sells an injector test light for less than $10 that will do the job, just unplug an injector and plug this light into the harness in its place. Should flash during cranking.

You'll want this in your toolbox so it's a good investment.

Could well be VATS, but you'll need a scantool to check it.
