WTF is wrong with my stupid car?
Turn the car on but don't start it. Get a voltmeter and tell me what the voltage is on the TPS with the throttle body closed. It is the blue wire that you want to check. I had mine closed slightly too far and my car would drop rpms and stop wanting to move, and then it would just shoot forward. It totally makes you feel like your car is falling apart!
Oh yeah, make sure the voltage is at least .6v(.61v to be safe) on the blue wire to get rid of this problem. If it is any lower, tighten up the set screw until you get there.
Afterwards (or if it's already at .6v) do the TPS idle relearn procedure so your idle isn't all jacked sky high
TPS relearn - You can also use this procedure instead of drilling a hole in throttle body blade. Just screw in the set screw & do this:
1.Disconect TPS sensor (bottom TB driver side)
2.Turn ignition on but do not crank for 30 sec
3.Turn ignition off
4.Reconnect TPS sensor
5.Start car

great advice on the TPS - that sounds more like it... in the meantime i did seafoam in the gas tank and i replaced my fuel filter. It hadnt been replaced in 127,000 miles lol... i noticed an immediate improvement even in the rain but i dont know what effect the seafoam has on drivability either...

Seafoam may just reduce mileage a bit, that's about all. You would notice more from seafoam'ing through your intake. Also, you might want to check your plugs after doing the whole seafoam routine to make sure it didn't foul any of them and that they're in good condition.
you'll probably develop a miss and set a code if you messed up a spark plug seafoaming. At least that's what happened when I seafoamed.
I'm really hoping your problem is somthing simple and not somthing major like a tranny falling apart!

my tranny has a 3 year warranty on it. I called him a few weeks ago because it threw a shift solenoid and he litterally told me to take it to a shop, have them take out the transmission, and he would overnight me a brand new one... lol - now that is service... the code never came back though, but if the transmission is the problem i'm in good hands...
oh, tonight i noticed that my radiator hose is collapsed when the car is off (upper hose) is that not good?

Doesn't sound good.
The shift solenoid code could be because of your big converter. If you were driving up a hill or a slant and ran the same rpms for a while(I wanna say like 10 secs) without the tranny shifting, that somtimes sets off the solenoid code. It will lock you into 2nd gear from what I remember, but you just have to reset the computer for it to go away. This happened to me about 3 years ago.

yeah i have a shitty tune - i'm not worried about the transmission, gearstar has me pretty confident in that portion of my car. it could have been my old *** fuel filter causing the problem. I ran the gas out all the way once, and i have run it extremely low on multiple occasions so it probably made all the trash from my tank go to the filter. I will update this post tomorrow after i try the car out.

As for the radiator hose, maybe its just old and needs replaced. After all the hot water that goes through the thing it may be just turning into a really flexible peace of rubber..
Is it easy to squeeze with your hand, I mean like Reallllly easy?
Might need to get a radiator flush and the refill with coolant bc it may be low and causing the hose to collapse that way..
Just some more suggestions

yeah guys the fuel filter diddnt fix the problem... seemed to for a few hours but then the problems came right back...
I am going to try to hook a voltmeter up to it... how do I do that? I have one but I dont know how to use the damned thing on the TPS... 6.1 is about right you said? What do I do if the number reads something crazy like 2.0 or 10.0?

it's .61 and it won't read somethin goofy unless it's way off
On the voltmeter, one cable goes to ground(any metal part of the car body) and the other cable pokes the wire you are checking

question - my voltmeter has all of these settings -200, 20, 200, stuff like that... there is also an AC and DC option on the thing... its a multimeter and i'm assuming thats the same thing with multiple options.

you want to check the blue wire. Set it on 20. you only need a range of 6volts. And you want .6 or .61, NOT 6.1. If it's lower, turn the idle set screw until it reads correctly. then do the idle reset that I posted earlier to get your idle correct again.

I pulled off the wire from the TPS, put the red end into the plug where the blue wire connects, and touched the black end of the meter to the car (there was only one spot where I could get it to register and that was on a screw in the front that had a black wire connected to it (probably a ground in itself)).
I got a .2 reading - i assume this is bad. I'm going to try to fix it but I dont know which screw to adjust.
