Rod Bolt Failure
So if you have indeed had a rod bolt failure on the later design rod bolt lets hear about it. If you have abused your stock bottom end with stock rod bolts lets hear about it too.
Maybe include RPM's turned, what power, what power adder, and at how many miles they let go or haven't let go.

The motor is out, and has katech's in now.

I was up to a 275 shot on the stock pistons, didn't hurt them a bit.
Daaaaaaaaaaaaaamn! you've got nuts...you must have had a tune out of this world! where you running a ls6 or fast? i'm thinking with a 275 shot you probably used the carb intake or a sheet metal intake??? What n2o set up were you running and how big was the cam you were using?...i'm interested to know how much rwhp/tq you were running with?!
Im not that brave.Ill stick with a 75-100 till i forge it I was running an LS6 manifold. The nitrous kit was pieced together from all over, but it was a single nozzle wet set up. I was flowing it all through the intake mani without problems, but I was using a progressive controller to keep the hit soft. I have no dyno numbers, I do all of my tuning (and most of my playing) on the street. My car did trap 138mph on a 150 hit and ran dead even with a car that went 144 on 200 with a ~3000lb race weight. It was doing ok. Never saw any track time on the bigger shots. It finally came apart around 7krpm in 4th gear one night on a motor only pull. Never really had any detonation problems, did everything on pump gas. Burned one plug, but that is as bad as it was until what I have to assume was rpm finally killed the motor.

However, I do agree with you that the later model (upgraded) rod bolts do have the ability to handle a lot more HP without failure. I would like to know the the PSI specification of the old rod bolts vs the upgraded version - I bet there is a considerabe difference in the two.
