The guy running it hasnt flycut his pistons and hes been running it perfectly fine...

It was designed to be run without flycutting. I already talked to chummmma about this

btw the reason I dont want to flycut my pistons is because of the added cost of doing so.

If I am correct its a few hundred bucks to get a shop to flycut the pistons

So a few hundred bucks isnt worth it? I guess you could have some PTV issues, kiss a couple valves to pistons and have it cost you a motor.

I vote the for X4 if you really dont want to fly cut.

I gained .2 just from swapping a Yank SS4000 for a Yank PE4400. So your car will enjoy a bigger converter.

It's hard for me to choose between Texas Speed and Thunder Racing since they are the 2 main places I buy my parts from, but I ended up choosing the TRex. I felt it was the safe choice to go with, and it was putting out great numbers. I was also deterred by the larger lift specs on the MS4, I felt it may lead to premature springs issues or the need to be changed sooner.

That is assinine...The duration and LSA WITH advance still allows it to "safely" fit under stock heads? BULL ****!

The MS4 will clear with enough PTV clearance so that flycutting won't be a concern. It has way more PTV than some of the other big cams out there. We have installed it on several cars using stock heads without an issue. Put it in our cam package with the PRC Dual Springs and chromoly pushrods and your valvetrain should be ready to go! If you have any questions at all, feel free to give us a call or shoot us a PM.

I gave you a call already! And I am sticking with my choice of the MS4. Since I have 120k do I need new lifters? No, right?

Well there you all go!

It's all about when and where the valve events occur. You could have a .550 lift cam hit the piston if it begins to open faster than the piston leaves TDC. You want the valve to safely follow the piston.

How much of a pain in the *** are seats/seals to put in? I have to change my springs, so should I pull my heads or do them in car?
