LS4 oil pump...Use it or No?
LS4 oil pump...Use it or No? Ok I was going to use a LS4 oil pump in my new motor and ive heard that they are having problems and was wanting to get some feed back on people who have used them and why I should or shouldnt use it. Thank you and help is appericiated.
Isn't the LS4 pump used on DOD engines?
I'm not sure if they run at a different pressure to activate and deactivate the 8 lifters that are used for DOD.
I wouldn't use it unless you know for sure.

I was under the impression that the LS4 pump flowed more volume and similar pressure when compared to a ported/shimmed LS6.. but they could flow TOO much oil, and drain your pan before the oil could make it's way back down.
