im no expert, but i bougth a head/cam package, and to realy get the most for my money i thougt it was best to go allt he way, i bougth FAST 90/90 fast rails, adapterkit w/gauge, ls7 lifters, chromoly pushrods, ls6 oil pump ls2 time gear, ls6 head gaskets, 42lb's injectors and ls7 clutch full exhaust/headers..
my opinion is.. if you spent almoast og over 2k's in heads and cam.. why dont just go all the way and get what you wanted?

The last 4 would be a great decision. b/c for 130 bucks from GM you want to have fresh lifters depending upon mileage to get proper wear on the cam as well. Pushrods are a must. Oil pump is a nice idea while you're down there and same with the timing sets (ls2 or double roller, whichever you prefer). Just make sure the rockers aren't worn out and reuse or purchase.

it's up to you. I bought a slew of extras like a ported/blueprinted oil pump, ls2 timing chain, yella terra ultralight rockers, ported FAST 90/90, ASP pulley, 42lb injectors, bigger fuel pump, & the full heads/cam gasket kit from SDPC.
Standard items you should have with your cam/heads are hardened pushrods, good springs like PRC or Patriot golds, titanium retainers and new valve seals that come with those springs. You can have your stock rockers rebuilt by harland sharp but your gonna have downtime

I think the 36lb would be fine. I went bigger cuz I plan on spraying one day.
Your stock rockers will work but your gonna have to worry about them spilling their needle bearings with a high lift cam. It may never happen to you but to the people it's happened to, i'm sure they wish they would have had their rebuilt or replaced

Out of the list you posted, I'd get new GM lifters while you're in there, hardened pushrods, LS2 timing chain, and a new GM oil pump. I'd stick with the stock rockers and get a set of bigger injectors so your duty cycle won't be too high with the stockers.

you will be fine with a custom tune from a really good tuner. I would suggest not getting too big of a cam though if you have to pass smog.
I've seen people pass smog with the TR224 cam and I've personally passed smog with a TR230/224 cam.
Just make sure before you go to emissions testing that you do an entire seafoam: https://ls1tech.com/forums/general-maintenance-repairs/534376-how-seafoam-your-car.html
After you are done and have changed the oil and used up that tank of seafoamed gas, run to the autostore & pick up a bottle of RXP, they normally sell it near the counter. Pour it in your gas tank and run at least half a tank through before you go get tested. Run the car hard before you get to the place so the cats are as hot as possible and work the best.
http://www.rxp.com/ - RXP greatly reduces your emissions output while it's running through your engine. It's kinda like those drinks you can take to pass a drug test.
One other tip is to raise your idle rpms before you go, just screw in the idle set screw a little before you go. Since they check smog at idle too, the higher your idle, the better
These tips will give you the best chance at passing smog with a cam. Back before I knew how to seafoam, I just did the RXP in the tank & the idle raise, but my car only had 10k on it so it probably didn't need it.
I've never heard of anyone passing smog with a bigger cam than the TR230/224 so I would do some research or go with that cam, it is a badass cam.
I hope this helps!

ls7 lifters are up to you. They aren't a necessity with the TR224 cam it looks like your going with. Most people switch to them either when they think theirs are junk/collapsed or when they wanna spin higher rpms like to 6600-6800. I imagine with the TR224, you will shift around 6400rpm so it's really just your call. I think they are $99 from SDPC or Byunspeed so it's not super expensive

Since it is all apart you might as well replace the oil pump, get a good single or double roller timing chain, replace the lifters with comp stock replacements (not comp r lifters), pushrods aren't needed but feel free if you want, and the stock rockers are fine. Maybe look at a underdrive pulley or if you have the cash upgrade to a LS6 intake.
