Default seafoam question

well, i just tried to seafoam my top end. i could not get the brake booster hose loose, so i went the intake hose route.

question is, after the engine sucking up 1/2 the can and letting it sit for 15 mins and then going for a "spirited" drive, i got absolutely no smoke out of the car.

what gives?? did i do it wrong??

thanks
tony

Which intake hose are you referring to? Are you talking about the PCV hose?

I seafoamed my 5.3 in the truck with 148k miles on it and no smoke. Changed the oil and now it looks just like it did when I changed it 1200 miles ago (nice and clean).

Haha, nice. To your advantage, seafoam is petroleum based, so it shouldn't do any damage. I would just change your oil/filter, and start over by putting it in the correct way, through the brake booster hose.

I think the sea foam bottle says you can add it to your oil? Its one of those put it damn near everywhere fluids. Oil, through intake, fuel system, it just kinda cleans everything lol. Just change your oil and you should be fine. You just did an oil system flush thats all.
