Superjoe, is your name in reference to the old NES game Bionic Commando?

Yes, I'm a nerd and a gearhead.

Ha! I barely remember playing that game and I still have no idea what you're talking about. Is that the Bionic Commandoes name?

It's really just the only thing that I've found that isn't always taken on forums, webmail, etc...

Sorry------

And hey, it's all just different shades of nerd...

well I bought the mechanical finger and they don't open in the hole and got the lil tubes for the shop vac but not powerful enough to suck it up. So I tried to dry everything and use duct tape and got the piece of it stuck in there. But I'm not worried about the tape. It won't stick when the coolant is in there. Think maybe flush it out with coolant will work?

If it that tight in there take a cork screw to get it out. or one of these ,we use them at work to pull pump packing ,look at pic below

I think your best bet is as described above - get a long screw with a sharp point that is a good bit smaller than the headbolt, screw it down into the wrag and drag it out. Make sure it is long enough that you don't drop it in the hole too and stuff wrags in the cylinders and cover the lifter openings while you're doing all this - you don't want anything else getting in where it doesn't belong.

I couldn't find a long enough corkscrew at walmart, so I went next door to Lowe's and they had a drill bit that look like a corkscrew and at the tip of the bit it was pointy and look like a screw. So stuck down there and started wrapping it around the bit and finally came out.

i woulda just torched it out with a propane torch and vacuumed out the ashes .

Dont know if that would harm the aluminum though, maybe not the best idea... lol
