Default H/C guys with F13/similar, step in....

So lately between the track and the dyno, I feel like my car isn't making the power it should and want to see how everyone else is making out. Right now, my best time to date is 12.31@116 with 1.89 60ft. Dyno #'s are 400 exactly to the wheels, and about 385 lb ft, I can't find the dyno sheet so I'm not 100% sure on the torque. Anyways, my setup is TEA stage 1 heads, F13, ls6 with ported TB, edelbrock headers, ory, slp 2otl with cutout, full bolton's. Full suspension, racetronix fuel pump kit with svo 42#'s, moser 12 bolt with 4.11's, car has been fully tuned.

The dyno #'s are without the new PST aluminum driveshaft and the LT's. The times were ran on a 17" mt dr.

I feel like my car should be making more power then this, I have a feeling the heads are choking it back some. F13 or similar sized cam, what heads seem to be making the best power with this cam? I don't want go bigger on the cam either, the F13 is streetable for me, don't want to go MS4 or G5X3 route either.

It seems like your 60' times are pretty low, especially for a heads and cam car with full suspension. My 98 Z28 is cam only with stock suspension and I am cutting between 1.68-1.72 60's.

im with back, my bolton, stock suspension car is running 12.31s with a 1.65 60' consistent. Your car should atleast be running mid 11s ATLEAST. What are your heads flowing?? my buddy with stock heads, full boltons and a 228/581 cam is running mid 11s on cam only.

See my sig. 10 bolts but it's partially busted since I could only spin one wheel in the burnout box.

Flow Intake Exhaust
.100 64.4 52.5
.200 144.8 116.5
.300 206.1 176.3
.400 250.5 215.4
.500 281.0 239.0
.550 287.2 246.5
.600 288.9 252.6

That's what I mean, my car should be making good power but something's not right, I have a feeling it's in my setup.......

Your numbers seem pretty consistent with mine considering the mods. I've got SRC Stg. 1 heads on my stock '02 LS1 bottom en and an F13, made 425whp through a stock 10-bolt and T56, ran a 12.175 @ 118. Again, had I a Moser out back I'm sure I'd lose a few poines and a MPH or two so.. I'd say you're ok.

Just a quick question why do myou have such a big full injectors in the car. My injectors are out of 2002 ZO6 which are the same as the 2001,2002 Camaro and Trans Ams came with and mine are at 89% duty cycle. I wish you the best of luck and as far as the dyno number seem to be average.
Good Luck

I have a similar setup, just a tad smaller cam and different heads. AFR 205s, and a Comp 228/230. I'm making 446/411 through the stock 10 bolt with 4.10s. I havent gotten a good run cause the last time I tried to run the number the posi let go on the 1-2 shift. However, the car traps 122 basically full weight. No FAST 90/90 or EWP either.

While my car was bolt-ons only, it ran 12.30s@113 with 1.8xx 60fts on Nittos. What was the DA on the day you ran? That does make a difference on what you run.

I agree with you that 400rwhp seems low.

Oh, and there's nothing wrong with that size injector either. I'm also running 42s in my car with the Racetronic pump.

DA?

I just think the car should have more power then it has. I am trying to figure out if the heads are choking them out. I'm trying to figure out what heads seems to work the best with the cam. I emailed futral but haven't heard anything back yet.

your 60" is killing your times with a 1.6-1.7 60 I see mid-high 11's 11.6-11.8. The 17 inch wheels are killing your launch switch to a pair of 16"s or better yet 15" w/ the mickeys and I think you will get the better times you are looking for.

As far as the 400#'s your 12 bolt and gears are eating up 20-30 rwhp so you would probably see 430 ~ in a stock drivetrain setup which is pretty stout for the budget stage 1 heads. At this point a FAST 90/90 may net you 10-15 over the LS6 and would put you at roughly 445 but may not be worth the coin$

I say keep it how it is and spray it, you have the fuel to do it so why not?

haha, yea I've thought about sprayin it, never really been a fan of nitrous though. I would like to go 90/90, but I just can't see it for the price.
