Default anyone who has changed the altanator on there LS1

a couple of months ago i had my altanator changed at a dealership and it went out a couple days ago so i changed it and when i did the connector only had one wire going into it I was wondering is there more that cause it seems like there is suppose to

1 wire is correct, DON'T BREAK IT!

Well, there's actually two of them, the cable bolted down with a 13mm nut and the single wire that runs into the connection. Don't break that smaller wire.

Uhh if you had it changed a couple months ago at the dealer I'd be taking it back.

I figured he was referring to the 4 wire connector only, not referring to the large gauge cable that is bolted down in the rear of the alternator.

Any GM part installed at the dealership will carry its own 1 year, 12,000 mile warranty - honored at any GM dealership.

So you can take it to a closer dealer to get the alt swapped back out.

i made the mistake of breaking the smaller wire when i changed mine..if you break it it is an easy fix but it is a bit of a pain
