Default ls6 with a4 and stock stall?

Alright, Ive found a remanufactured longblock ls6 for a good price, and am considering throwing it into my 84k 2000 z28. My question is how hard is it to bolt up the a4 to this thing, and to get my ls1 computer to run it? Im tossing around the idea of a mild torquey cam upgrade from comp cams, is it even worth it? I liked the stock ls1 power but would lke to swap the cam on the ls6 while its out of the car if Im ever going to. I have an a4 with a stock stall. Should I even bother? My car is setup with 2.73s at the moment, although they probably wont last long. Can the a4 handle this? Should I go ahead and have a performance rebuild done, how hard is the t ranny to pull once I bolt all this in if my tranny craps on me in the next 10000 miles. Also, Do I have to upgrade my fuel pump?? THANKS!! im def on a budget here thats why im concerned with all these aspects

stock cam for stock converter, mild cam = bigger converter...and while the engine is out, you should get a new converter anyways.....that should be the 1st mod for any auto Ls1 car

Everything from your car will mate up. It's basically a LS1 with a different set of heads and a slightly larger cam. That's it.

How much is this remanufactured engine as I'm sure you can find something better for much less on here?

Stall wise you can throw what ever you want in there. Just remember you're going to have to drive it around and a 4400 stall isn't exactly the best thing for DDing.

Cam wise talk to PatrickG or PredatorZ. They are the cam gurus around here. If you're planning a budget build you might want to read this as it's based around budget setups:

damn, this is a daily driver i never had a prob with the power. I got 2.73 gears, looking at a reman goodwrench ls1. My buddy is throwing this cam in his thats fairly mild but makes great power, i think a peak of 390hp in a mostly stock setup. What stall you guys like for a mild car on the street? Is a 2600 or 2800 even worth it? Id love more power off the line, but like my highway cruisin low rpms, so im thinking keep 2.73s and get a bigger stall with a lockup for highway

I think you'll get a lot of benefit out of a new converter with your A4. With the 2.73's gears, a tight converter in the 2,800 to 3,200 range might not be too bad for a DD. If you upgrade, get a decent tranny cooler as well.
