Did you replace the SDM (between the seats) with a new one or a used one? It needs to be the same part number. I assume the airbag light is on? If so, try removing airbag fuse for a minute and reinstall. If that doesn't work, then the SDM i.d. does not match the i.d. for it that is stored in the Instrument cluster (IPC) and the IPC may need to be reprogrammed by a GM dealership with a Tech 2 diagnostic tool.
