Default Heads w/ 84k on motor?

I recently sold my SS Camaro and decided to look for something less valuable to beat on. I found a 2000 TA NBM w/ a slipping A4 and in need of some valve guides for $4500. It pulls like a beast and has a lot of potential. The compression is solid but oil is getting into the cylinders thus the need for Valve guides. I have everthing off. Intake, exhaust, soon tranny.

Should I go ahead and put some stage 2 Ls6 heads on now and forget about the valve guide or is 84k just to many miles for new heads. What do you think? It would actually make getting the upper rear tranny bolts easier, lol.

It currently has a 220/224 .551/.551 114 cam in it. Installing LT, and LS6 intake as well.

I have 101K on mine and am in the middle of installing PRC 2.5's with my new cam.
