eagle crank messed up

Default eagle crank messed up


has anyone had there eagle crank reluctor wheel mess up.
can started to run funny had has gotten worse to the point it wont run. threw a crank sensor code i have checked all the wires tried a new senor. hell even a new PCM the only thing left is if the reluctor wheel is messed up. i have put about 2-3k miles on the motor. any ideas thanks.

Have you checked crankshaft end play?? If the crank can "walk" slightly in and out..this can cause some pretty weird crank signals..I dont know just a thought?

good thought i pulled on the crank to try and feel some play i didnt.
when i put it together my crank endplay was perfect.

Well, perfect as in what??? The number 3 bearing also substitutes as the thrust bearing in these motors I'm sure you know. In any event if what you are saying is true, your thrust bearing has been eaten up. Are you sure everything was AOK when you put it together because if it was then you know what that means... Time to pull the POS and see what's up. Not good at this point because the crank may have been damaged if it all of a sudden has alot of endplay.

perfect means within factory specs. well thats also what im affraid of. ill have to pull the motor and look into it. i do know this, that if i need to rebuild it im goin low CR and a t88 turbo damn it.

any one else have problems i dont wanna have to pull the motor again to check the wheel if i dont need to.
