Dart Heads - dual spring install Was installing set of Patriot gold springs on a set of Dart 225 heads, the heads did have 8mm stem valves, however the locks have a different bead on them, a bead design Eaton/Manley use.
Dart does use hardend 7* locks, lucky I had a set of AFR retainers at the shop, 7* titanium retainers.
Unfortunetly you can't use Gunnars well designed retainers
Havn't seen much intrest from gunnar to sell only the gold springs.
If you were looking to install dual springs on Dart heads you could go with Comp 921 or PSI dual springs ($400), i'm certain however i'm sure CV products markets 7* titanium retainers for dual springs, and hardened seats. Or you can order AFR LS1 retainers.
Otherwise, I used the shims provided with the heads, intake was shimmed .070" and exhaust .060", found my installed heights to be 1.750" and 1.760", on the money for .600" lift.
I can source any of these products for you if intrested.
