853 ls1 heads on 5.3 problems?????
edit- T-REX T-REX T-REX 427LSX TWIN TURBO 853 ls1 heads on 5.3 problems????? hey i have a quick question for all of you guys, my buddy is building a 5.3 right now for his obs chevy truck and i have a set of 853's i told him he should get milled down and use i mean i would imagine they will flow alot better than the 5.3 head and since it will be milled down it will have about the same compression, this will be just a n/a motor with prolly the tr220 and a stall and he plans on useing the truck intake not the ls1 style, does anyone forsee any problems? ppl on his 'truck forums' say he will have "flow problems around the valves" exact words lol, so thats why im asking here. it doesnt make sence to me, is this a good idea or no? feel free to give us ideas pointers ect.. on what to use for this motor thanks!!

they should bolt right on. The guys talking about flow problems, well I wouldn't worry about that. I don't know what flow problem there would be. Just remember, if he mills the heads down he probably won't be able to use the stock length pushrods. Be sure to get a pushrod checker.

Verdad Gallardo ok wtf i guarantee if i put t-rex or or tr220 or some other "big name" in the title i woulda got a responce by now even tho most people only know about it because of the name and not the numbers i mean common my brother in laws cousins wifes uncle had a trex and that sob ripped!!! i guess most people on here only like to gossip about what they have heard and not what they know, ohhwelll im sure this will **** some offf but im sittin here laughin cuzz its the truth
