Replacement cam for use with heads milled .030
Looking down the road at replacing the current 218/226 527/535 cam. Especially since things seem to have gotten less frustrating with the new JPR tool.
First, my car is a daily driver. I don't visit the drag strip but participate in impromptu street races. However, I do auto-x and may try roadracing. I plan on switching to 3.73's in a few months, so it should work well with those gears.
Unless someone's going to give me a 2-year warranty against valvespring failure (unlikely) and cover consequential damages, I'm OK to change valvesprings every 12 months. I would like to switch to the Yella Terra rockers, knowing that I need to do some grinding in the '98 valvecovers. My heads peak flow is about 270-280 at .550 intake lift, and about 200 at .500-.550 exhaust lift.
I originally wanted the G5X2, but when Louis told me I should check the springs every 6 months and notching the pistons, that's too much hassle. I was actually considering the ASA cam. What else should I be considering?
