Default ?'s about crank and connecting rod lenghts

I am building a 383 all bore motor, and my motor is currently at the machine shop getting ready to be balanced, and well i got a crank awhile go off of ebay, and well seems that it is unbalanceable(if thats even a word). seems that it has weight added and taken away from it already. and just is working with my rotating assembly. here is what i have, weisco pistons; 4.100 bore, Luntai forged rods; stock length, and a stock crank. Now im looking into getting maybe instead of a new stock crank, and egale forged 4" crank, and make it into a 422. would i need to get shorter connecting rods, or will i be ok with my rods i have?
