918 Spring Question
I was just curious if anyone knows if there is any way to tell if a comp 918 spring is in fact a comp 918 spring. Usually they have a blue stripe is that correct? The reason I'm asking is because somebody has a whole set for sale and claims they are good to .600 lift and are the "beehive" springs but does not claim to be the 918 springs. The seller also says that the springs do not have the blue stripe...furthermore they do not have ANY stripe. Any ideas or suggestions whether I should buy them?
the seller might be telling the truth, but with them not having a stripe, and not having more info, i would stay away from it... a new set of 918s can be had for alittle more than $150 if you shop around, thats pretty cheap considering the cost (and time) of other engine componants that could be ruined from putting the wrong valve springs in your motor.
do it right the first time.
btw: this thread would have gotten more response in the Internal Forum

I had it posted in the internal forum for 8 hours and it didn't get any response. Thanks so much for the info though. The valvetrain of my engine is much more important than "wingin" it
