I have a 2002 LS1 and I am getting a crackling sound at high rpm's. I dont think it is detonation because my a/f ratio is right on the 13 mark all threw the rev range on the dyno sheet. If anybody knows what this is or has experienced it themselves please post what you think. Just need to know if it is a common thing or a problem that needs to be fixed.

True, too much timing advance is always more of the culprit rather than being a bit lean when it comes to detonation. Grammer is bad really tired ![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)

Dble pltnm plugs suck.
Check to make sure your wires are on tight, double click on the coils, and fully seated on plugs.
Look at timing, over 29* is not normal, as thats stock. KR will tell you tell you how much Knock Retard you are getting.
I would say swap out the plugs and try NGK TR6 as they are a step colder plug and help a lot of people out that have det, issues.
